Lifton Institute of Media Arts and Sciences (LIMS) started with a simple idea:

create meaningful jobs in the film, television and new media industry

for individuals with barriers to employment.

We accomplish this by designing our programs with one goal in mind;

transform underserved populations

into fully functional media production work force candidates.

The mission of LIMS is to inspire students with a hands-on method of education that concentrates on preparation for career opportunities in the entertainment industry.

This mission applies to each of our programs and is the underlying objective for the Institute.

We accomplish this with a curriculum that integrates technical knowledge with artistic exploration and creativity, taught by a staff of passionate professionals.

LIMS provides training and job placement support into the movie and television trades, including visual effects, camera/lighting, set construction and costume. LIMS founder has vast experience in job placement in those career tracks.

Our mission is to provide opportunities to help individuals with special needs succeed in their career goals, and life.

Reel People, a division of LIMS, works with high functioning young adults with Autism or other challenges. The primary goal of Reel People is to provide a realistic training and job placement program for the entertainment trades. The young adults are selected for the program based on their specific passion for this industry. They are then taught hands-on training and provided job placement assistance on professional movie and/or television productions.

Reel Vets, a division of LIMS, is specifically designed to help Veterans with the many challenges they face. Movie and television crafts training, medical and legal referrals are just a few of the services provided. LIMS and its Reel Vets program is a proven training operator for Veterans for paid jobs in the movie and television trades.
